Rebekah & Jay - Nashville Opryland Engagement Session

Rebekah and Jay were engaged to be married at Nashville's Opryland Hotel.  I had the good fortune of returning with them for their engagement shoot on Valentine's Day.  As you can see...love was in the air!

Nashville Wedding Photography - Kelly & Chance

Kelly and Chance were married in Wightman's Chapel at Scarritt-Bennett on New Year's Eve. All I can say is....what an AMAZING celebration! The reception followed at The Parthenon in Centennial Park.  The party lasted well into the new year, and everyone had a great time.  It was a beautiful wedding start to finish, and Kelly and Chance pampered their guests with wonderful food from Jo's Custom Cakes and Catering, Inc, and every guest left with their own bottle of champagne as a gift from the bride and groom.  Special Thanks to Jane Gullett for helping me capture the day!

New Logo

Ok, things have been crazy here and my posts have been thin.  We finally have our computer upgrades in place (for this go-around at least) and we've launched our new logo/brand design.  The website still needs to be converted as well as a couple of other things, but we're very excited about the new look!

Yes, more photo posts are coming soon...just not today!  We apologize for the gap in posting lately but we've been in the middle of a big computer upgrade/switch.  All is going well but we're still in the middle of the process...so many things to do in the process.  We will soon be finished with the upgrade and back on track.

Shannon & Justin's Nashville Wedding

Sometimes, a bride's day doesn't go perfectly.  That statement shouldn't surprise anyone, because a wedding day often requires the bride to put a lot of faith in other people to do what they are supposed to do. But, you can tell a lot about a person's heart and character by the way they react to the hiccups of the day.  Shannon and I arrived at the church at the same time, and it was immediately clear to me something was wrong. Shannon did not have her make up on, and she looked upset. She went on to explain that her make up person was late. Most brides would probably be flipping out at this point, but not Shannon. She fought back her tears, and constantly asked ME how I was doing.  She was so concerned about everyone but herself. She asked about her groom, how he was doing... her father...bridesmaids...her little sister...always wanting to make sure we were all "okay." The make up person never did show up, but Shannon had a friend with an AMAZING talent with makeup. Shannon looked absolutely stunning.  I never heard her complain once that day, not once. Shannon, you deserve all the happiness in life...you have a heart of gold. Congrats to you and Justin!

New Orleans Photography Workshop

Hi everyone. I just got back from a trip to New Orleans where I attended a great photography conference. I had a lot of fun meeting new people and learning new things about my craft.

The highlight of the trip was an available light shooting workshop with famed Joe Buissink (wedding photographer for Kelsey Grammer, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, etc.). Joe's kindness and generosity shines with his eagerness to share his talents and knowledge with others. The bridal shots below were taken without flash on the streets of the French Quarter.

Nashville Engagement - Elaina & Justin

Nashville's Centenial park is beautiful in the fall and I always try to take advantage of that beauty whenever I can. This year was no exception.

I recently had the privilage of photographing Elaina and Justin's engagement session in the park. Check out this sampling of my afternoon with these two. It can be summed up with one word...Perfect!
